Bryant Tovar is a Judge of the Housing Part of Civil Court of the City of New York.
Bryant Tovar was appointed in June 2018 by Deputy Chief Administrative Judge George J. Silver and sits in Bronx County. Bryant Tovar started his professional career as a social worker where he worked with therapeutic foster children. He has also worked as an advocate for immigrant rights as an employee of Catholic Charities. He was admitted to the practice of law in the state of New York in 2006 having earned a Juris Doctorate from Touro Law Center in addition to a dual Bachelor of Arts degree from SUNY GENESEO in Psychology and Sociology.
Prior to his judicial appointment, Bryant Tovar was a practicing attorney in housing court where he practiced for 10 years. In addition to his extensive experience with landlord tenant matters, Bryant Tovar has experience in civil-litigation and immigration law.
