Connie Gonzalez attended SUNY Stony Brook and received her BA in English, with a minor in Women’s Studies in 1997.  She took a year off of school to prepare for the LSATs and then attended Columbia University School of Law and graduated with her JD in 2001.  In January of 2002 she began working for the Nassau County Legal Aid Society in the Family Court Bureau as a Staff Attorney representing clients in paternity, child support, custody, visitation, and child abuse and neglect cases.  In 2006 she became the Family Court Deputy Bureau Chief, and in 2007 she became the Family Court Bureau Chief, where she continued to represent clients and hire and train new staff attorneys.  In February of 2015 Mayor Bill de Blasio appointed her as a NYS Family Court Judge presiding in NYC for a 10 year term.  She currently presides in Queens Family Court handling predominantly Juvenile Delinquency cases and Child protection cases.
