Sergio Jimenez was appointed as a housing court judge in September of 2018 and assigned to Queens County. Prior to joining the judiciary, he was the Director of the Justice Practice at Brooklyn Defender Services. He received his law degree from the University of Denver College of Law and undergraduate degree at McGill Universe focusing on English Literature and Philosophy. He was born in Costa Rica and has lived in seven different countries.
