
Judge Santos attended Iona College in New Rochelle, New York where she earned a B.S. in Criminal Justice, cum laude. She received her J.D. from Pace University School of Law in White Plains, New York. At Pace University, she was the recipient of the Pace Alumni Outstanding Student Award. After graduating law school, Judge Santos started her own general practice law firm with an emphasis on residential and commercial real estate transactions, bank closings, will preparation, guardian ad litem appointments and estate work.
In 2008, Judge Santos was appointed as Special Prosecutor, handling Vehicle and Traffic offenses for the Town of Haverstraw. Two years later, Judge Santos was appointed as the Special Prosecutor for the Village of West Haverstraw. She held both positions until January 2017 when she was appointed as Town Justice for the Town of Haverstraw. Judge Santos is the first female and the first Latina to hold this position. In February 2019, Judge Santos was appointed as Associate Village Justice for the Village of Haverstraw. She continues to hold both positions.
Judge Santos is also very active in her community. She serves her church congregation as a Sunday School teacher and classroom coordinator. She is a Lifetime Girl Scout and leads a Girl Scout Troop and oversees the Haverstraw Minisceongo Service unit. She participates in many events including the annual backpack drive and distribution, Thanksgiving food drive, serving food on Thanksgiving Day, for several years, Christmas toy drive and Christmas food distribution for several years as well.
