Hon. Wanda Negron

Honorable Wanda Yvette Negron was elected to New York Civil Court, Bronx County on November 3, 2020. Judge Negron was assigned to Bronx Criminal Court upon her election where she sat for two (2) years. Most recently, Judge Negron was designated Acting Justice of the Supreme Court, Bronx County, Civil Term where she is presiding over Matrimonial matters. Judge Negron is very proud to serve her community.

Judge Negron was born and raised in the Monroe projects of the Bronx. After graduating Cathedral High School, while working full-time and going to evening school full-time, she obtained a Paralegal Certificate from Herbert H. Lehman College. As a paralegal, she worked full time for a law firm, while continuing her studies at Lehman College to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and graduated Magna Cum Laude.

Judge Negron then went on to attend a dual program for law school and master’s degrees at Quinnipiac School of Law and School of Business, obtaining her Juris Doctorate, as well as, her Master’s in Business Administration. Judge Negron achieved all of this while raising a family and continuing to work full time.

Prior to her judicial career, Judge Negron managed her own practice as a sole practitioner for twenty (20) years. She provided her community with legal services and at times provided Pro-Bono work. Judge Negron also held a position as a Hearing Officer at the Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings (OATH) for NYC while managing her firm. She adjudicated violations of local laws of the City of New York.

Judge Negron is actively involved in local bar activities and Judicial organizations. The over thirty (30) years of experience in the legal field prepared her to continue fair and equal justice from the Bench. Judge Negron enjoys serving her community with distinction and unbias while she continues to give back to the people of the Bronx.
