Hon. Hector D. LaSalle

Honorable Hector D. LaSalle was elected to the Supreme Court, Suffolk County, in 2008. Justice LaSalle was appointed by Governor Andrew Cuomo as an Associate Justice of the Appellate Division in January 2014. Prior to serving in the Appellate Division Justice LaSalle served a trial judge in Suffolk County Supreme Court and as a Justice of the Appellate Term for the 9th and 10th Judicial Districts. Justice LaSalle’s legal career began with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office in 1993 as an Assistant District Attorney. In 1999 he joined the New York State Attorney General’s Office as an Assistant Attorney General. Justice LaSalle returned to the Suffolk County DAs Office in 2002 becoming a Lead Gang Prosecutor and Deputy Bureau Chief of the Special Investigation Bureau prior to his 2008 election to the bench. He received a B.A. in Political Science from Penn State University in 1990 and J.D. from the University of Michigan School of Law in 1993.

Hector is married to Andrea LaSalle and they have two children, Tatiana and Alex.
